MONEY vs MONEY
It's money versus money,
So the money always wins.
I'll take a tip on number four,
And flutter for my sins.
Billy's feeling lucky,
'cause pay day is so soon..
His pay 's arrest-related —
He 's whistling a tune.
His boots are big and polished
(His sergeant noticed that)
His buttons are all shining
As he tips his coppers hat.
Billy turns a corner,
And has himself a fright
It's Sam the Newt, with loads of loot
A bonus is in sight
Sam looks at the copper
And looks down at his stash,
He thinks about fresh air and bars
And feels he has to dash.
He owes more than he carries
And then, the. clothes he wears
And now, this flippin copper
Has caught him unawares.
A chase begins in earnest,
But no one. is surprised
That Sam's the faster runner—-
Billy does'nt get his rise ! |
