The Garden Church Lane Farm
(Garden View)

ABOUT THE HOUSE AND GROUNDS

The house was built in 1760 as a traditional Leicestershire estate farmhouse. There are three full height floors and a cellar one of the upper rooms was a "safe" room where the female workers slept, there was a separate access to it from the dairy and bathroom to the brass bed room where the bath now is. This leads up to a three foot square door. The other door connecting to the bedroom has evidence of many locks and bolts having been fitted.

Church Lane Farm the Terrace
(The Terrace)

Most of the guest bed rooms overlook the terrace and gated water garden, with the paddock, cottages and Bardon hill in the distance. The gated garden has been created as a "romantic "garden with places to sit in seclusion with birds and fish for company. The terrace is used for drinks and is a more social place. Beyond the upper garden secure parking is offered for guests who wish to leave cars if flying from East Midlands Airport.
